To travel to Rotorua you can fly, drive, coach or hire a driver/guide. Travelling time from Auckland is just 3 hours by car. There are many options for transport in Rotorua.  A public bus service operates every 30 minutes throughout the city.

Bus Timetables and advice on pick up/drop off points are available from the Tourism Rotorua Visitor Centre on Fenton St. This is also where shuttle services, tour buses and  sightseeing tours depart from. Taxi services are available, and some activities provide courtesy shuttle services.
